  I was overwhelmed by the concerned members that attended a memorial service on Saturday, August 6, 2011, for my sister, Linda Duckett. I was made aware that most of the attendees did not even know my sister, but out of compassion and concern for her husband, Marlon, showed their respect for both.
  
  Thank you all for your efforts and prayers that day, and further thanks to the meal later offered at the church. I am especially thankful to Pastor Al Maxey for conducting the memorial service at the Alamogordo Funeral Home. I know that your efforts were also greatly appreciated by Marlon, who had a great burden placed upon him. Again, thank you all very much.
